Grips
Grips work closely with the camera and lighting departments to ensure that all equipment is set up safely and securely, and that everything is in the right place for the shot.
In film production, grips are members of the crew who are responsible for setting up and maintaining all of the equipment that supports the camera and lighting departments. They are responsible for constructing and rigging equipment, such as dollies, cranes, and tracks, as well as setting up rigging for lighting, such as scaffolds, overheads, and reflectors.
